I will never get tired of hearing a good “my first Frios” story.
The different settings and flavors involved are very personal to someone and can resonate with them forever. A story I hear often is “I had a Frios, and I just had to be a part of the company”. I relate to this story because it is the story of my first Frios as well. I will never forget my first Frios. Every day on my way home from work I would get stuck in traffic at the intersection right in front of the Frios trailer. After seeing people line up for popsicles day after day at this trailer, I finally decided to see what all the fuss was about and try it for myself.
My very first Frios was the Key Lime Pie pop. I don’t know what it was, but my first bite into that Key Lime Pie pop was an unforgettable experience. Perhaps it was the graham cracker inside or the zest of an actual lime. Maybe just the perfectly smooth and creamy texture of the popsicle itself. All of those things together combine to make the best ice pop I have eaten in my entire life. It was because of this pop that not long after eating it, I was inspired to become a franchisee and soon after pursued becoming the owner of the whole company.
Many times I have witnessed parents purchase a pop for their kids, but not for themselves. It never fails that the parents will then try their kids’ pop, turn around to get back in line and purchase one for themselves. The child doesn’t want the parent to take a bite, I don’t blame them for that, and the parents want one for themselves! This is what it’s all about. This is the power of a good pop and at Frios, we take pride in producing the best pops in the country.
